2.22 miles in, hikers will hit the spooky canyon entrance. Follow highway 12 until you see the hole in the wall road. These canyons can be combined in many fashions to create an adventure lasting from several hours to a full day of exploring.

While the hike is only 3.5 miles with minimal elevation gain, the rock scrambling and tight squeezes required to navigate the canyon certainly make it challenging!

Spooky slot canyon is one of the narrowest canyons in the world that hikers can safely navigate. Even though it’s only 33 miles from town, the road conditions are extremely uncomfortable. Turn there and drive for 26.3 miles and you will find the trailhead on the left.

Besides beauty, the canyons are obviously located in the desert. The trail is primarily used for hiking and is best used from may until november. Peekaboo was a shorter slot more like a corkscrew with beautiful colors and formations.

Making a complete loop with dry fork narrows creates an awesome day in the desert. Peek a boo slot canyon is a family favorite and a great intro into the grand staircase escalante region's dramatic slot canyons. Both canyons get very narrow but spooky, in particular, might make you suck it in a lot!
